Family owned & operated since 1987
Westland Exchange is C & L Exchange.
In 1987 a Westland family opened a small exchange on W. Warren Ave with a simple rule: quote the honest number, treat everyone with respect, and pay in cash. Almost four decades later that rule hasn't changed — the store around it just got a lot bigger.
Over the years we grew from a single jewelry case into what is now Metro Detroit's largest pawn shop: ten buying departments, an in-house jeweler, experienced appraisers, and a vault that holds everything from estate diamonds to Snap-on chests. Customers drive in from Livonia, Canton, Dearborn and beyond because the offer is worth the trip.
The new name, Westland Exchange, reflects the town that built us and the store we've become. Everything else — the family, the address, the faces, the promise to beat any gold price in Metro Detroit — stays exactly as you remember it.
The same trusted business
What changed, and what didn't.
Same family
The same family that opened the doors in 1987 is still behind the counter today.
Same location
Still at 27842 W. Warren Ave in Westland — the corner Metro Detroit has known for decades.
Same team
The jewelers, gear guys and loan writers you already know. Nobody left.
Bigger inventory
More cases, more departments and more cash on hand to make bigger offers.
Same business, same owners
The C & L Exchange name.
If you found us as C & L Exchange, you're in the right place. Westland Exchange is C & L Exchange.
We are C & L Exchange, also known around town as C&L Jewelry, Coin & Exchange. Every one of our 332 Google reviews — a 4.8-star average — was left for this store under that name, by customers standing at this same counter at 27842 W. Warren Ave in Westland.
Nothing else changed. Same family, same owners, same staff, same phone number at (734) 425-0450, same licensed and bonded Michigan pawnbroker. We simply trade as Westland Exchange as well, with a new website. Our previous website was clexchange.net.
We share the plaza with Malea's Discount Jewelry, so if someone sends you to either name, you'll find us in the same spot on W. Warren Ave.
